Butterflai is built for teams. Once your account is set up, you can invite colleagues so they can access the platform and collaborate on data-driven decisions.
Where to manage users
Go to Settings in the sidebar, then select User Management. This page shows all users in your organization, their roles, and their current status. You will also find the Invite User button here.
How to invite a new team member
Select Invite User. Enter the person's email address and assign them a role. The role determines what they can see and do on the platform - for example, whether they can view the Business Dashboard, use the Knowledge Agent, manage documents, or administer settings. You can choose from existing roles or create custom roles under Roles Management.
Once you send the invitation, the person receives an email with instructions to create their account. If they already have a Butterflai account, they will be added to your organization.
Role assignment
Roles in Butterflai are permission-based. Each role defines specific read and write access across the platform's features: Knowledge Agent, Business Dashboard, Document Library, User Profile, and Settings. Assign the role that matches the person's responsibilities. You can always change a user's role later from the User Management page.
Approval workflow
When someone registers for Butterflai - whether through a direct invitation or self-registration - their account requires administrator approval before they can access the platform. As an admin, you will see pending users in the User Management list. You can accept or reject each request. Accepted users receive an email notification and can begin using the platform immediately.
User statuses
Each user in the system has one of the following statuses:
Active - The user has been approved, verified, and can access the platform.
Pending - The user has registered or been invited but has not yet been approved or has not completed verification.
Inactive - The user's access has been suspended. You can reactivate them at any time.
You can also reinvite users who never completed their registration, or reactivate users whose accounts were previously deactivated.
