Your company profile tells Butterflai who you are as a business. This information directly affects how the AI interprets your data and generates responses, so it is worth taking a minute to fill it out properly.
Where to find it
Open Settings from the bottom of the sidebar, then select Company Profile. This page is accessible to administrators and contains all your organization's core information.
Fields to complete
Company Name - Your official business name as you want it displayed across the platform.
Industry - Select from the available list (e.g., Retail, Technology, Healthcare, Food & Beverage, Financial Services, and more). This tells the AI what kind of business you operate, which helps it interpret your data correctly. For example, "revenue" means something different in SaaS versus retail.
Business Model - Choose the model that best describes your company (e.g., Ecommerce, SaaS, Marketplace, B2B Services, Wholesale, and others). This further refines the AI's understanding of your operations. Combined with your industry, it allows Butterflai to prioritize the right KPIs and use the correct business vocabulary when answering your questions.
Domain - Your company website (e.g., yourcompany.com).
Company Address - Your primary business address.
Company Phone - Your main contact number.
Company Email - Your company's general contact email.
Why industry and business model matter
These two fields are not just metadata. Butterflai uses them to calibrate its AI reasoning. When you ask "How are we performing this quarter?", the AI needs to know whether to focus on recurring revenue (SaaS), order volume (Ecommerce), or client billing (Professional Services). Setting these correctly means more relevant answers from day one.
